The Clay Elementary Future Problem Solver’s teams participated in the State Bowl last weekend at Auburn University Montgomery.

The competition involved teams from elementary schools throughout the state. Teams had earlier completed the two hour booklet portion of the competition. The booklets were typed up and sent to the judges beforehand. Each team followed the six step problem solving method in their booklet and devised an action plan to solve the presented problem. The action plans were presented to the judges and audience in the form of a skit. The skits were judged seperately from the booklets and had very strict guidelines the students had to follow.

Our two teams placed 3rd and 4th in the Presentation of Action Plan category and 4th and 5th in the booklet competition. This is a big victroy against very tough competition!
